Why did I join Rotary?

I was invited by Rich "Fuzzy" Mason to look at Rotary in June 2004. I was looking meet more new friends, to become more involved in the Pollock Pines community, and I was  looking to learn more about El Dorado County. I have always been active in community service and Rotary seemed like the perfect fit for me.

What is my favorite Rotary Event?

It's hard to pick just one favorite event. I love the weekly meetings with my fellow members and hearing interesting speakers. This is how I learned about my community. I look forward each year to our fundraisers because I know this is way we raise the money for all our projects that serve the community.  "Evening in the Orchard" is my favorite Fundraiser. I really love working with the Sierra Ridge Interact Club...the 7th and 8th graders are so eager to serve and they do so in many ways through this Rotary sponsored club.

Do I have any Rotary Designations?

I am a Past-President (2007-2008, 2008-2009), A Past Assistant Governor (2011-2012, 2012-2013), and I have served in many of the club's officer positions. Additionally , I am a Rotary International Beneficiary, and a Paul Harris Fellow.

Currently I serve as the Club Executive Secretary.

How long have I been a Rotarian?

I have been a Rotarian since 2004.

What is my profession?

I have had several professions. I started out as a Registered Nurse and worked many years in this profession. I then achieved a degree in Music and taught private piano in my studio that included 4 other teachers and approximately 100 students. My last profession was as an office manager for my husband's busy Pediatric office. I am classified in Rotary as an "Office Manager-Retired".
